The black sand beaches begin about 5 minutes' walk from the hotel. rooms are big, clean, comfortable and modern. we saw the aurora lights from our window. great staff and breakfast.

Welcome to Aurora Lodge Hotel, where adventure awaits! Our complex of 8 charming buildings sits right on the banks of the East Rangá River, just a stone's throw from the Icelandic Route 1 (Ring Road)... We booked the Aurora Lodge only a couple of hours before arrival as our plans changed and we needed to find a place quickly. Lucky! The room was very comfortable and assured a good night's sleep after a long drive. We decided not to take advantage of the outdoor hot tub in the evening, which we ended up regretting. Although, the negronis in the cozy lounge bar were not a bad option either. The best part of Aurora Lodge - the breakfast! Delicious porridge and scrambled eggs!

All details were thought of in the interior and spa was super nice even though it could have been a bit cleaner.

Room was nice. Check in is located in the Restaurant on the property, so it took us a few to find check in. Room was comfy. Breakfast served was good and had your American and EUR favorites: scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, bread, pancakes, cookies, sandwich meat, beans(?), yogurt, coffee and juice. Cannot say anything about the view, since we arrived in the dark and left in the dark.
